Inactivity Policy

PNR access is automatically revoked after 180 days of inactivity. This page summarizes the policy, what triggers removal, and how to regain access if you've been removed.

Automatic removal after 180 days

In order to comply with regulatory security requirements, both admins and members of PNR projects are automatically removed after 180 days of inactivity.

This policy helps ensure that access to sensitive research environments is limited to active, authorized participants only.

If you have been removed from a project and need assistance regaining access or confirming your status, please contact OITResearchSupport@duke.edu.

How inactivity is determined

  • No login activity within the PNR environment for 180 consecutive days
  • Applies to both Admins and Members
  • Removal is automated and occurs without prior notice

Need access again?

  • Contact your project's admin to be re-added, if the project is still active
  • Or email OIT Research Support at the address above for help
