Transferring Data

Transfering Data to a PNR Project

  • From your PNR project page in Research Toolkits

  • Click on the Request Help button on the top menu bar

  • Choose PNR Projects: Transfer Data TO Project from the dropdown menu

  • Be sure to select the intended project from the Project dropdown menu

  • For expedited service please answer the following two questions in the lower section of the form:

    1. Is this data Duke Sensitive Data: Y/N
    2. Briefly describe the data and purpose:
  • After submitting, the RC IT Admin. will respond with a new link for each individual transfer request to a secure Duke Box folder (note: folder will be deleted after 14 days).

  • Please copy the data you would like to transfer into this folder and reply back in the Service Now ticket that the data are ready for transfer.

  • Sensitive data will be copied into the admin folder of your project's P: Drive

  • Non-sensitive data will be copied into the transfer/to_project folder of your project's P: Drive

Exporting Results from a PNR Project

  • Save non-sensitive results or output in your transfer/transfer_from folder:

  • Navigate to your project page in Research Toolkits

  • Press the Upload now button on the Export Results row

  • Once complete, you will receive an email with a link to the designated Duke Box folder for your project where you can find your results, or just click the blue highlighted link named for your project on the Export Results row shown below:
