πŸ“₯ Transferring Data to a PNR Project

To request data transfer into your PNR project:

  1. From your PNR project page in Research Toolkits
  2. Click on the Request Help button in the top menu bar
  3. Choose the request type:
    PNR Projects: Transfer Data TO Project
  4. Be sure to select the intended project from the Project dropdown menu
  5. For expedited service, please answer the following questions in the lower section of the form:
  6. Is this data Duke Sensitive Data? Y/N
  7. Briefly describe the data and purpose

After submitting, the RC IT Admin will respond with a new link for each transfer request to a secure Duke Box folder

πŸ“Œ Note: The contents of the Box folder will be deleted after 14 days

➑️ Next steps: - Copy the data you would like to transfer into the Box folder
- Reply back in the ServiceNow ticket to confirm that the data are ready for transfer

πŸ“‚ File placement: - Sensitive data will be copied into your project's admin folder on the P: Drive - Non-sensitive data will be copied into the transfer/to_project folder on the P: Drive

πŸ“€ Exporting Results from a PNR Project

To export results from your project:

  1. Save non-sensitive results or output into your project's transfer/transfer_from folder

  2. Go to your project page in Research Toolkits
  3. Click the Upload now button under the Export Results section
  4. After uploading:
  5. You’ll receive an email with a link to your project’s designated Duke Box folder
  6. Or, click the blue highlighted link named for your project under the Export Results section, as shown below:

βœ… Member Requests to Export Results (Approval Required)

If a member of a project would like to export results:

  1. Click the Upload now button under the Export Results section.

  1. Provide a brief description of the files to be transferred when prompted.

  1. After submitting the request, the project admin will receive an email notification for approval.

  1. Once approved, the member will receive an email notification and can find their results in their project's export Box folder by clicking the blue highlighted link named for the project under the Export Results section, as shown below:
